It depends on what firewall you're using. Here's a page for how to allow apps through the default firewall on Windows. Note that you'd need to allow FFXIV through the firewall, not Heliosphere specifically.

I would recommend that people use feed/RSS readers. Every creator has an Atom feed linked to their profile. You can add their profile page to a feed reader and it will extract it. For example, my profile has this feed attached to it.

Yes, they're just three buttons. Clicking on them does what they say. If you don't want to import/overwrite your description, simply do not click the button that does that.

Dependencies are per-version, so go to the edit page, switch to the versions/variants tab, then click the edit button on the version you want to edit. Dependencies should be visible in the window the opens.
