hello! for some reason, I'm having trouble with the first time set up. I've made sure that downloads were allowed, updated to 3.0.0, I have no kind of blockers preventing anything from heliosphere, and my game would always be on when trying to get this thing to work, but it's always stuck on loading on "checking if the plugin can be reached" and says "load failed" under it. I have no idea what could be an issue other than possibly penumbra being in testing rn T T if someone could help me identify wtv is going on, it would be nice! This is my first time using this plugin so I'm sorry! thank you!

I don't have the windows one-- I'm actually a Mac user and I'm on safari, if that's anything! I don't have any adblockers on or anything and for the stuff that's listed, I've made sure that I have turned off everything that'll prevent it from working.
I recall Safari maybe blocking requests to localhost. Can you try using Firefox or Chrome?
Do you have an ad blocker installed in your browser? Do you have an antivirus besides Windows Defender set up? The issue you describe happens when your browser is not able to reach the loopback IP (localhost).

Below where it says "Checking if the plugin can be reached", there should be a list of reasons why an error might occur. There is also an expandable list of known-problematic browser extensions. Does any of that help?

If not, please tell me what browser you're using and what operating you're using.
