Question about mod posting policy

Pronouns
they/them
Hello, I'm asking this mostly in light of well, kinda everything I'm hearing going on with sites like XMA and I have some questions about the mod posting policy here in Heliosphere.

I can see that mods that "promote any form of bigotry hate, or real-world violence" as well as "enable nudity or sexually suggestive content may not apply to the in-game Lalafell race, any character made to look like a child, or NPC children in any manner" those are all banned, and honestly thank you so much. I really appreciate seeing a strong stance against that here.

My question is what if a modder is uploading mods that do not violate those terms, but the modder in question creates content that they post elsewhere that does espouse those values? What is Heliosphere's policy for content creators that will create or espouse bigoted, hatefully, or sexually explicit content of the lalafell/child variety, but only post "safe" content here? If someone were to see a modder known for creating such content posting on here, would that be something the operators would want to be aware of? (I know I can block such a creator, I am asking this to know if the owners of the site would want to be aware of such a person posting on their site)

Off-site behaviour in general is sort of a case-by-case basis. In a lot of cases, this is why blocking exists, as you pointed out, but certain cases warrant greater action. Usually I refer to a group of trusted creators and we all hash it out. Certain high-profile modders known for repeatedly creating content that would break the rules on Heliosphere were pre-emptively banned, for example. I have had pedophiles asking for permission to upload their "technically not rule-breaking" mods that will be used for pedo shit, and those people have been told no as well.

You can always file a report and provide additional information. I can't tell you exactly what will happen, though. We do perform some investigation when warranted. Pedophilia is one of the more extreme examples where off-site behaviour is really relevant and can lead to bans. Things like being a bad person in general is probably not going to result in any moderator action. Like I said, every case is different, and it's impossible to meet everyone's personal expectations. I, and other members of the moderation team and advisors, try to act in the best interest of the community at large.

I know this is sort of wishy-washy, but it's just impossible to say in the general case. I hope this clarifies things for you, at least. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to ask.

That is completely fair, and I have blocked this person on HS (and on multiple other website bc they keep popping up like a dang cockroach) Given what you have told me, you might want to be aware of this particular case. I am not fully comfortable discussing it in a public forum, is there a way I can PM you
